  1. I am excited to learn how to use plug-ins and more creative design choices on my portfolio website. I have used WordPress before but I didn’t have any creative control because I was using a page on an existing domain, so I only had control over that. I’m excited to play with more of the fun tools and have control of the entire domain. I am excited to use this domain and track my progress over the entire year.<\/li>\n
  2. I still do not totally understand the difference between the page where my blog posts show up and how to manage that type of page versus the other more static pages that exist on my site. Additionally, we experienced this last year but our domains receive lots of spammy comments and engagement and I wonder if there is any way to deter that (the comments would come to my email for approval).<\/li>\n
  3. This experience informed my future work helping my peers because watching everyone have different experiences and seeing how Tierney and Libby responded was really helpful. It was an important reminder that a big part of being a peer mentor is being patient and there’s a lot of value in one-on-one engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
